The Bureau of Prisons, Federal Detention Center in SeaTac is hosting our annual Resource and Mock Job Fair on December 5 @ 7:30 am-1:30 pm. The mission of this event is to promote a positive and proactive re-integration through collaboration with community partners. It provides our male and female incarcerated population the opportunity to meet with various organizations and agencies whose mission is to provide services to returning justice involved citizens successful. Participants are asked to bring information and resources pertaining to employment and apprenticeships, housing, child and family services, child support, social services, mental health services, health and medical services, licensing requirements, legal services, post-secondary education, etc. This year, we will be reintroducing a session of mock job interviews as well. Our goal is to encourage our clients to practice their interviewing skills and gain feedback that will be beneficial for them in their journey to employment.
We are proud to partner with many local, federal, state and community organizations and hope to expand our network even further. We know many of you through your work with CPTS Community Partnership for Transition Solutions and resource fairs and reentry forums throughout our state. If you know of a contact and/or agency that can help support our mission and the population we serve, please kindly forward me their contact information.
